This is my fitness blog and will have stuff about sports, martial arts, my exercises, workout routines, self progression and a whole bunch of other stuff.

None of the photos are mine unless otherwise stated.
The progression shots quite obviously are of me.

I guess this is just kinda a journal/diary for me!~!

I’m back at it after having 3 months off due to a broken knuckle, I know that didn’t stop me from training legs, core and from doing flies and reverse flies on a machine, but I got lazy. Now I’m back in it hard and heavy, I’ve already bulked up a few kilos in just 3 weeks! I’m so excited, going to continue my current program for another 3 weeks, take a week off, perform 1rm on all my workouts and then write up another 6 week or 12 week program.

Currently I’m doing

3x Gradual increase in weight warm-up (15-13-11 reps)
3x Working sets at same weight (10-10-10 reps (failure generally at 8 on last set))

Incline Bench
Behind Barbell Squats
Bent-Over 1arm Row

Then I’ll move onto the following ‘supper-setting’ exercises

3x Working sets at same weight (10-10-10 reps (failure generally at 8 on last set))

Seated Leg Extensions
Cable Flies
Reverse Cable Flies
Calf Raises
Tricep Pulldown
Reverse Curls trying to target forearms

I do this Mon, Wed, Fri and on Tue & Thu I hit the abs with the following workout:

3x Body Weight Warm-Up (15-13-11 reps)
3x Working sets at same weight (10-10-10 reps (failure generally at 8 on last set))

Crunches
Hanging Leg Raises
Oblique Crunches
Oblique Bridge with Reach Under

On top of my workout regime, I’m trying to increase my food intake by heaps, since about two weeks ago I haven’t been able to stop eating, I’ll eat non-stop all day long, meals, snacks, junk food and all! Pretty much trying to keep on a clean bulk however it does get a little bit dirty some days.

Also going to chase a Black Belt in Kyokushin Karate and start competing this year!

Weooowwwww 84kg! Look at those abs disappear aha! My strength gains the last year have been ridiculous!
My one rm on bench is now 86kg!
I’m now doing squats and squatting 60kg plus my body weight!
Deadlifts at 40kg
Supersetting the lot!
Can’t wait to strip down for summer!

23/06/12 Training Hard

Okay so I’ve improved quite a few aspects of my life and at the moment I’m trying to bulk up heaps, I’ve put on 6kg of mass in the last couple months and over the next 12 weeks I’m eating anything and everything while pushing 85% of my 1RM at every gym session, 5-6 reps for 4 sets and then a superset. I’m already starting to notice the difference after just 2 weeks! This is really coming along well for me!

At about the 10 week mark I’m going to get back into boxing twice a week and then throughout spring back to Taekwondo so I can continue my training for the 2016 olympics! The rest of this year is going to be a positive one.

I am currently doing 3 days a week and this week coming up will be 5 days a week! Will post my current weights tomorrow when I wake up.

Goodnight all!

woah it’s been a while.

The last 6 months have been a huge journey for me, lots of ups and downs and a lot of neglect on my mind, body and soul!
Going in to do my 1rm’s now at the gym and writing up a new program to start next week, I want to bulk up over the next 12 weeks as well as improve some strength! yeahhhh buddy!

IT’S MY BIRTHDAY MOFO’S!!!

nutellashots:

19, woooooo. Everyone should wish be happy birthday and all that because I deserve it :)

To spot or not to spot!

There’s those days that you just can’t get a spotter in the gym, you’re gym buddy won’t join you in the gym today, you just have to push it through! It’s dangerous business in the gym at times, especially when you’re pushing heavy weights and even more dangerous if you have a condition such as high blood pressure. You don’t want to be dropping 170lb on your head or chest, fracturing your sternum or deforming your face would be the last result you’d want from hitting the gym!

Personally I am pretty fit and healthy, so there are days when I’m in the gym alone and will push through my heaviest sets without a spotter. Like yesterday for example, I was in the gym and on my last working set (5th set, 2x warm-up, 3x working) and I was loaded up with 170lb on the bench, hitting the last few reps was a challenge, I knew that I’d drop it on myself if I didn’t persist through, it was a constant battle between win or die! I felt like a machine afterwards.

can’t wait to start training in gymnastics, I want to be able to hold a handstand and do all kinda crazy stuff with my body!
